Salt & Candy was chosen as the digital partner to help execute the Coca-Cola Rockcorps platform in South Africa for the first time.
The Strategy Coca-Cola and their partner ABI began the platform with a recycling programme involving hundreds of local High Schools. High Schools that recycled set volume targets went on to take part in this revolutionary platform – Give, Get Given.
Over two months, 2,000 teens from the participating High Schools got to volunteer for 4 hours at Coca-Cola®
RockCorps community projects around the Gauteng Province in South Africa.
Students were encouraged to tweet about their experiences and could stand a chance to win more tickets to
the concert if they raised awareness online about their community projects.
This initiative ended up trending for a solid week in South Africa as well as London gaining unprecedented
traction and return.
